Dr Torres has extensive experience in women's health, both clinically and academically in 3 different countries: USA, Brazil and Australia. She was a Post Doc Fellow at the famous Mayo Clinic hospital where she performed outstanding research in gynaecological oncology and earned a Master’s degree in biomedical science and clinical and Translational Science. She finished her post graduate diploma in gynaecology in Brazil and she also performed a PhD in oncology focusing on cervical cancer.

She arrived in Australia 5 years ago in which she has worked in leading hospitals such as Western Health in Melbourne, Gold Coast University Hospital and recently at the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital and is finishing her RANZCOG advanced diploma. Dr Torres is passionate about women’s health and joined MyLocalDoc to take care of women that need individualized care.

Dr Torres is also a Member of the Australian Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.
