Dr Joanne Martin comes to Shaw Road Medical Centre with over 30 years clinical experience. She graduated with honours from the University of Queensland in 1988 and obtained her fellowship with the RACGP in 1993, and has wide experience in all aspects of general practice. She worked for 3 years as a Paediatric Registrar and continues to especially enjoy looking after the health and well being of babies and children. She also has a special interest in mental health and women’s health (including antenatal care). She has been working in remote indigenous communities in Queensland and the Northern Territory for more than 10 years and continues this important work for some weeks each year.

MBBS, FRACGP, BPsySc(Hons), GDCHDavid's approach to medicine involves inclusive, person-centred care, provided in a safe environment. He has an interest in chronic disease management and paediatrics, but his strongest passion is with mental health.
Before medicine, he completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) at the University of Queensland. In his work as a GP, he has come to realise the importance in raising awareness for mental health concerns, as the first point of contact for many. He has found it particularly rewarding working with teenager and young adults, especially with issues such as depression, anxiety, panic disorder and adjusting to change of life stages. He also strongly believes in providing a welcoming and affirming space for people who may be neurodivergent (such as Autism and ADHD). He does not do diagnostic assessments for ADHD.
Outside of work, you might find David out pursuing his photography passion, or on a tennis court or in a rock climbing gym. He also enjoys playing the piano and bass guitar, though isn't particularly good at either.

Dr Amelia Moane has over 25 years of experience in skin cancer detection and management, with the past two decades dedicated exclusively to this field. She performs full-body skin checks, mole scanning, and treatments using both surgical and non-surgical methods.
Graduating with honours from the University of Tasmania in 1996, Dr Moane completed her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2002 and further training in dermoscopy and skin cancer surgery in 2003. She is a member of the Skin Cancer College Australasia.
Dr Moane is a proud mum of two and enjoys hiking and spending time on the beaches of Southeast Queensland—always sun-safe and zinc protected. Areas of interest: Skin cancer, melanoma

Dr. Warwick Marks started his career as a Pharmacist and completed his Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) from University of Sydney in 1994. Later he acquired his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Queensland in 2001. Dr. Marks is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
Dr. Warwick Marks’s special interest areas are Travel Medicine, Employment Medicals, Aviation Medicine and Cosmetic Medicine. He is also interested in treating Skin conditions.
Dr. Marks enjoys working collaboratively with all his patients and assisting them with their health.

Dr Karen Yew is a Specialist GP in women's health. She graduated from the University of Queensland in 2012 and completed her general practice training in Rockhampton. She developed a passion for women's health whilst working in the Sunshine coast. There, she began to specialise in contraception, fertility and menstrual disorders. In recent years, she has become more interested in the management of menopause and the concept of healthy aging. Dr Karen has been an Australasian Menopause Society (AMS) member since 2022 and has attended every annual conference to keep abreast of the latest news. Dr Karen believes in listening to her patients and individualising healthcare to their needs. She is available for a full range of women's health procedures including Implanon insertions and removals, all types of IUD insertions and removals (including copper) and iron infusions.
In her free time, Dr Karen enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young children. Originally from Singapore, she is fluent in Mandarin and is happy to consult in it.

She enjoys the variety that general practice offers and has a special interest in women’s health and children’s health.Dr Judy is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centred care and enjoys getting to know her patients over time. Dr. May is a local Queensland medical graduate with a wealth of experience from her time at Toowoomba Base, The Prince Charles Hospitals in Queensland, and Westmead and Blacktown hospitals in Sydney. She furthered her training in general practice in NSW, earning her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).
Dr. May has a keen interest in cardiovascular disease, respiratory medicine, dermatology, general paediatrics, pre-employment medicals, Q fever vaccination, and travel consults, including Yellow Fever vaccination. She provides thorough skin checks, performs skin cancer excisions, and offers iron infusions for patients with iron deficiency. Passionate about women's health, Dr. May offers services such as contraception Implanon, IUD removal, antenatal care, menopause hormone therapy (MHT), gender care, sexual health, and HIV PrEP prescribing.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. May loves to stay active with swimming and Pilates, explore new places through travel, and cherish moments with her family. She's fluent in Mandarin Chinese and the Taiwanese dialect, adding a personal touch to her patient care.

He enjoys the full spectrum of General Practice. He studied medicine at the University of Queensland and graduated in 1999.

Certificate in Musculoskeletal Medicine (AAMM), Advanced Clinical Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery (SCCA), Advanced Clinical Certificate of Dermoscopy (SCCA), Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health (FPQ), Graduate Cert in Business Administration (QUT), comprising one third of the MBA program, stimulated by his search to help improve health care delivery with a more holistic and real world understanding.
He enjoys working as a GP, as well as teaching medical students and doing external clinical teaching visits for GP Registrars.
Outside of work, he likes being with his wife and two children, reading, watching movies, travelling, keeping acceptably fit (with variable enjoyment!), and connecting with friends.
