    Dr Joanne Martin comes to Shaw Road Medical Centre with over 30 years clinical experience. She graduated with honours from the University of Queensland in 1988 and obtained her fellowship with the RACGP in 1993, and has wide experience in all aspects of general practice. She worked for 3 years as a Paediatric Registrar and continues to especially enjoy looking after the health and well being of babies and children. She also has a special interest in mental health and women’s health (including antenatal care). She has been working in remote indigenous communities in Queensland and the Northern Territory for more than 10 years and continues this important work for some weeks each year.

    David's approach to medicine involves inclusive, person-centred care, provided in a safe environment. He has an interest in chronic disease management and paediatrics, but his strongest passion is with mental health.

    Before medicine, he completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) at the University of Queensland. In his work as a GP, he has come to realise the importance in raising awareness for mental health concerns, as the first point of contact for many. He has found it particularly rewarding working with teenanger and young adults, especially with issues such as depression, anxiety, panic disorder and adjusting to change of life stages.

    Outside of work, you might find David out pursuing his photography passion, or on a tennis court or in a rock climbing gym. He also enjoys playing the piano and bass guitar, though isn't particularly good at either.

    Nathan’s philosophy in General Practice is seated on making sure every patient feels listened to and empowered. He is passionate about helping patients tackle issues with mental health, sexual health, and helping travelers prepare for the rigours of any journey.

    Dr Torres has extensive experience in women's health, both clinically and academically in 3 different countries: USA, Brazil and Australia. She was a Post Doc Fellow at the famous Mayo Clinic hospital where she performed outstanding research in gynaecological oncology and earned a Master’s degree in biomedical science and clinical and Translational Science. She finished her post graduate diploma in gynaecology in Brazil and she also performed a PhD in oncology focusing on cervical cancer. She arrived in Australia 5 years ago in which she has worked in leading hospitals such as Western Health in Melbourne, Gold Coast University Hospital and recently at the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital and is finishing her RANZCOG advanced diploma. Dr Torres is passionate about women’s health and joined MyLocalDoc to take care of women that need individualized care.

    Mary-Ellen has worked in full time general practice for over 30 years in the Clayfield/Nundah area and enjoys maintaining long-term relationships with patients and their families.

    She graduated from University of Queensland in 1988 and obtained her fellowship with the RACGP in 1994. She is an experienced GP in all aspects of general practice and family medicine with a special interest in women’s health and paediatrics.

    Dr Amelia Moane has been actively involved in the detection and management of skin cancer for 25 years and for the past 21 years has worked solely in the field of skin cancer medicine. She has extensive experience in full body skin cancer checks, mole scanning, spot checks, and treatment of cancers when detected with both surgical and nonsurgical methods.

    Dr Amelia Moane was raised in Tasmania and gained her Bachelor of Medical Science and her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery graduating with honours from the University of Tasmania in 1996. She then went on to achieve her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2002 and completed further training in dermoscopy, skin cancer medicine and surgery in 2003. Dr Amelia is a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

    Away from work, Dr Amelia is a proud Mum of two wonderful boys who keep her busy with their sports, social lives, and interests. When she gets a chance to escape, she loves a good bushwalk. And, in spite of her work, Dr Amelia has a tremendous appreciation for the stunning beaches of South East Queensland and you may spot her on occasion of an early morning or late afternoon in full sun safe gear and heavy zinc cream enjoying the great outdoors.

    Dr. Warwick Marks started his career as a Pharmacist and completed his Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) from University of Sydney in 1994. Dr. Marks is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

    Dr. Warwick Marks’s special interest areas are Travel Medicine, Employment Medicals, Aviation Medicine and Cosmetic Medicine. He is also interested in treating Skin conditions.
